Car Shows in Pigeon Forge have become quite the annual tradition over the past several years with the bell of the ball being the Pigeon Forge Rod Run. For over 30 years now, the Pigeon Forge car show has showcased timeless classic automobiles from all across the country. The biggest difference in this year’s show, however, will be the new location the event will now call home.

As first reported by The Mountain Press, after 31 years years, we at Vacation Lodge are proud to announce that the Pigeon Forge Rod Run will be moving to the LeConte Convention Center.

Just a hop, skip and a jump away from our Pigeon Forge hotel, the new brand-new convention center offers over 100,000 square feet of space. For visitors, this means more cars and more fun for this year’s automotive event.

The 2014 Pigeon Forge Rod Run is scheduled for the weekend of April 11-12. Show cars will be located both inside and outside the venue with a special appearance by celebrity guest Michael Henry from The History Channel’s popular show, “Counting Cars.”

Along with being just a short drive from our Pigeon Forge hotel, the new LeConte Convention Center is also located right across the street from the area’s newest attraction, The Island. Home to several delicious restaurants, shops and family-friendly activities, the Island in Pigeon Forge is the perfect place for you and your family to visit after touring the many classics to be on display at this year’s Pigeon Forge car show.
