1. Little Creek Falls Makeover
One of the off season upgrades you can look forward to at Dollywood Splash Country is the makeover to Little Creek Falls, a water play area for toddlers that was one of the park’s original attractions! While the target demographic will stay the same, this area is being transformed into a splash pad with themed elements such as flowers, leaves and pop jets! The splash pad will make this area of the park more accessible to people of all ages, as it will be easier for babies and toddlers to roam around than the previous attraction. If you have been to the park in the past and are a fan of the butterfly shade structures from Little Creek Falls, you’ll be relieved to know that they will still be there with new color schemes and fabric panels!
2. Repainted and Resurfaced Slides
Splash Country is well known for their thrilling waterslide attractions, so you’ll be delighted to know that many of the slides have been repainted and resurfaced! This means that the slides will not only look better aesthetically, but will provide a smoother ride for park guests! While these upgrades have been in the works over the last several years, this off-season was particularly impressive as 17 slides have been upgraded! If you are familiar with the park, you’ll notice some of the changes immediately on attractions such as the Mountain Twist, Bear Mountain Fire Tower and the Cascades!
3. Landscaping Upgrades
Folks who have visited both Dollywood theme parks in the past know that the parks are renowned for their beautiful landscaping among the Great Smoky Mountains! When you visit Splash Country this year, you’ll see even more landscaping with lush native plants and flowers! This creates a memorable and pleasant atmosphere that goes right along with the thrills and splashes on the water attractions! The landscaping also provides plenty of shade throughout the park, which is a unique feature when compared to other water parks across the country!
Visiting the Water Park
Dollywood Splash Country is open from mid-May to early September, so be sure to check the official operating calendar when planning your visit to the park!
