The Big Bear Plunge is an extreme whitewater rafting adventure ride that takes you banking through dark caverns with winding bends and steep drops reminiscent of challenging river expeditions! Hold on tight, as you’ll crash through a wall of water just before sliding down the bumpy cliff that sends you splashing into the pool below! Your adventure takes place in a large raft that can accommodate up to 4 riders, which spins around as you make your way downhill! You never know who might end up backward while making the big plunge at the bottom!
2. Raging River Rapids
Another one of the fun water slides at Dollywood’s Splash Country that your family can ride together is the Raging River Rapids! The circular rafts on this attraction are similar to those on the Big Bear Plunge but slightly larger so that up to 5 people can ride in one raft! After sitting down in your raft, your family will be off to experience the white waters of the Great Smoky Mountains! This 700-foot-long slide features many twists and turns, as well as a final dip with a soaking splash-down finale!
3. RiverRush
RiverRush is Tennessee’s first and only water coaster, so your family will definitely want to ride this one for some serious bragging rights! Prepare to race through the trees as you experience four drops along 1,175 feet of track with multiple hairpin turns and tunnels, all combined with rushing water! RiverRush takes everything that you love about a traditional roller coaster ride, including sudden drops, twists, and turns, then adds some serious splashes of water to add to the fun! The toboggan-style rafts can accommodate up to 4 people, and you’ll ride in a row with in-line seating!
