From 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31 at 11:59 p.m., a special group of products are exempt from the state’s sales tax. How much will I save on purchases?
Tennessee’s state sales tax is 7% and Sevier Country’s local sales tax is 2.75%, so people vacationing in Pigeon Forge during the tax free weekend will save nearly 10% on their purchases!
What items are discounted during the 2014 Tennessee Tax Free Weekend?
The Sales Tax Holiday applies to three different categories:
