Each of the comfortable glass gondolas can seat up to 8 guests, so bring the whole family along for a ride into the sky! The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel is open both during the daylight hours and at night, so be sure to ride twice for two completely different experiences!
2. Island Bumper Cars
Another one of the family-friendly things to do at The Island in Pigeon Forge is the Island Bumper Cars! This fun attraction takes the classic bumper cars experience to the next level with an innovative design that features circular shaped cars and dual lever steering controls! This allows you to go in any direction that you want, or you can just sit there and spin in circles! The lack of traditional foot pedals makes it easy for most young kids to participate in the fun with their parents. As a bonus, the Island Bumpers Cars feature flashing LED lights that add even more excitement to the experience!
3. The Island Show Fountain
One of the most popular things to do in Pigeon Forge is The Island Show Fountain, an amazing free fountain show that is perfectly choreographed to 14 pieces of music. The show features over 89 vertical nozzles to create lively movement, while 6 motion-based nozzles create graceful water sprays that swirl around to the music. Finally, a power geyser nozzle shoots water 60 feet into the air! The Island Show Fountain plays daily from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with shows approximately every 30 minutes at the top of each hour.
4. Island Mirror Maze
See if you have what it takes to find your way through the Island Mirror Maze, which is one of the largest mirror maze attractions in the country! You and your family will get lost in the fun as you navigate over 3,000 feet of countless reflections, twists and turns, and tricky dead ends! As if that doesn’t sound challenging enough, you can also try the Vault Laser Maze Challenge. This side attraction forces you to jump, crawl and bend your way through a network of lasers to break the record and achieve a top spot on the leaderboards!
